Coronation Teaspoon
HM King George VI and Queen Elizabeth commerorative teaspoon, with box
The following illustrations show an electroplated nickel-silver teaspoon, manufactured by James Walker, for distribution as a souvenir of the Coronation of HM King George VI in May 1937. James Walker provided commerorative teaspoons for a number of local authorities at this time.
This example is provided with its box - overprinted on the lid with 'Harrow Urban District Council'. The bowl of the spoon is engraved with the word 'Harrow'.
